Update request for your Course Measurement/Rating
Firstly, the Golf Club would need to map out the tees by installing a fixed distance point from which each the tee will be situated and each hole will be played from. The minimum distance required for a golf course to qualify for a WHS Course and Slope Rating is; 750 yards for a 9-hole golf course and 1,500 yards for an 18-hole golf course.
Once the fixed distance points are installed, the new tee set will need to be officially measured - this can be carried out by a third party such as; Eagle Promotions or Clere Golf. Alternatively, if you have a member of the golf club or know of someone who is a qualified QS and holds a current RICS membership, this would also be ok.
Essentially, the official yardage of the golf course must be validated by someone and detailed on a Certificate of Course Measurement - with the hole by hole lengths clearly stated along with the signature of the person who signed off the measurement.
We have attached measurement guidance from the WHS Course Rating manual below.
