When can Expected Score be used?

If you have pre-registered for a 9-hole round of golf, your actual 9-hole score is scaled up to an equivalent 18-hole Score Differential for immediate use in the scoring record.  An 18-hole Score Differential is created by combining the 9-hole Score Differential for the 9 holes played with the player’s expected score over 9 holes.

If a player has pre-registered for an 18-hole score and is unable to complete their round (retired) for a reason deemed valid by the club committee, provided the player has completed the minimum number of 10 holes, the score can still be used for handicap purposes. The system will calculate an expected score for the holes not attempted due to injury/illness or another acceptable reason to the committee.
