What is the Roving Pro fund?
Scottish Golf understands that many affiliated golf clubs do not have access to a PGA professional. As part of the National Junior Framwork, Scottish Golf has invested in a Roving Pro Fund to support clubs and facilities who wish to create and develop a self-sustainable coaching programme.
The Roving Pro fund enables clubs to apply for a maximum of £600 which can be used to deliver up to 20 hours of PGA Professional coaching. Additional funding is also available for clubs identified in more remote and rural areas of the country to cover travel and/or accommodation costs of their Pro.
Clubs can apply for Roving Pro funding a maximum of 3 times with a 3-year period.
To support clubs' Roving Pro journey, Scottish Golf has devised a 3-year structure focusing on key objectives and striving to improve the coaching infrastructure.
Applications for Roving Pro funding in 2024 have now closed. The fund will reopen in March 2025.
