What is the Playing Conditions Calculation (PCC)?

How well you performed during your round of golf is usually evident from your score relative to the difficulty of the course played. Course and Slope Ratings® reflect the difficulty of the course under normal conditions.

However, conditions can sometimes vary considerably due to abnormal weather, course set up or both.

This is the reason for the Playing Conditions Calculation. An automated calculation is carried out at the end of each day to detect if abnormal conditions have significantly impacted performance and to determine whether an adjustment is needed to a player’s score to better reflect the difficulty of the course and conditions encountered that day.
