Sustainability support for Golf Clubs
Scottish Golf – through our partnership with the GEO Foundation – is offering ongoing support to clubs that embrace sustainability.
The GEO Foundation is an international not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting sustainability in and through golf – a vision for the game shared by Scottish Golf.
Sustainability in golf is not only sound for environmental reasons, but also a cost-effective strategy for clubs to adopt.
It helps foster nature, conserve resources, provide healthy recreation and promote positive climate change.
All clubs in Scotland can already access a free OnCourse support programme from the GEO Foundation to set them off on their sustainability journey.
This service provides clubs with an easy-to-use tool to review, improve and then communicate sustainability achievements and goals.
Clubs may also apply for an enhanced level of support and access the following benefits for free:
a 30-minute kick-start call with the team at GEO Foundation
ongoing provision of OnCourse plus a Sustainable Golf Scorecard, including a carbon footprint and infographics kit (normal price £300)
sustainable golf workshops and webinars
promotional content from GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf projects
communication guidance and activation kits for key dates such as International Sustainable Golf Day
