Club golfer template code of conduct

Club golfer template code of conduct

A code of conduct is in place to help golfers, members, visitors and club staff understand the acceptable levels of behaviour within the golf club setting.

Scottish Golf has produced this document, guided by basic principles, to assist golf clubs looking to either introduce a new policy or refresh their current regulations. Each club will have its own requirements when it comes to on and off course rules and is free to amend the following guidance notes to fit their own unique situation. The template document features the most common examples of situations covered in a golf club code of conduct. It is not an exhaustive list and may be added to or reduced according to a club’s wishes and requirements. Clubs should consider seeking independent legal and financial advice of their own prior to adoption of any new club policies.

All clubs should make their code of conduct, complaints procedure and disciplinary procedure easily accessible to all golfers and visitors via a club noticeboard, welcome pack and/or website.
